Check the match
Look at the studied product, dose, population, duration and outcome. Be skeptical when a broad promise rests on a mechanistic explanation or research involving a materially different intervention.
Watch disease language
Claims about diagnosing, treating, curing or preventing disease are materially different from general structure/function language. Marketing language should not be treated as medical evidence.
